The Cambodian Kids Foundation
The Cambodian Kids Foundation is a not for profit organisation
and a registered Cambodian NGO. Our foundation aims to educate
and empower the people of Cambodia through a number of projects
that ensure maximum sustainability and success.
In particular our foundation looks to the future and the creation of
a better Cambodia for it’s people. We believe that in order to change
the future for the better we must nuture and empower the youngest
generation, the next leaders of Cambodia. We help the people from
a grass roots level, ensuring all of our projects are sustainable and
headed by the Khmer people with us working closely beside them.

beautiful individual and family that we work with in Cambodia.

Through the hard work and dedication of the amazing people on our board
both in Australia and Cambodia we have been able to set up a number of different projects:
The Saing Sy Centre: A school by day and a community centre by night, located in one of the poorest villages in Kompong Thom. The village is called Mous Village, however the school is available
to all children in the surrounding villages. The school teaches Khmer lang, English lang, Computer, Sport, Job seeking skills, Leadership, Art and Health & hygiene to the students. During a night time it opens its doors as a community centre hosting many forums and classes on things such as sanitation or mental health etc. to parents. The Saing Sy Centre not only educates but it also supports many of the poorest families in the surrounding villages.
The Rudi Boa Centre: This school is located in the Borey Stantepheap II community. This a relocation site for people from Boeung Kak lake and Dey Krahorm as well as a few other evicted communities. The Cambodian Kids Foundation aided many families from the Dey Krahorm community during the evictions in 2009, by providing emergency food, water, electricity and housing for many families, we developed a strong connection with this community and because of this rapport we were chosen as the foundation to set up the relocation communities only school. Every day we teach over 700 children at the school teaching them basic english, Khmer, sport, art and life skills.
The Attitude Centre for Education: This is an institution where people can come to learn all about leadership and changing their attitude to better the lives of themselves, their family and their country. Our leadership centre teaches forums to over 1000 people each year on site and another 2000 off site with our ACE team visiting many rural villages, training local NGO's and highschool/universities. Changing the attitudes of people can pave the way for change in Cambodia and a better future for the younger generations to come.
Cambodian Kids Care (CKC): CKC is a kindergarten that is available for orphan children or children from the slums. We currently have six children living at the Kindergarten centre who have been left by their parents or who have been severely abused and neglected. CKC gives these children a reason to smile again by providing education, food, support, stability and love, all things many of these children have never really experienced in their lives until now. These children are automatically accepted into our scholarship program where our foundation will support them through primary school all the way to university and into the workforce.
Women's Health Clinic: The women's health clinic is all about providing support to women not only by providing them with medical assistance but also by engaging them in forums on women's health issues to ensure they are well educated on how to care for themselves.
Scholarship Program: The Cambodian Kids Foundation offers scholarships to promising students from both rural and city areas. These scholarships vary from Leadership study scholarships to high school and university scholarships. These scholarships can either pay for part or all of a child's education depending on the families situation. A child in the sponsorship program also has the opportunity to live on campus at our dorm rooms where they are provided full support whilst they are studying including food, accommodation, text books etc.
The Start-A-Business Program: This program allows for families to generate a sustainable income. The Cambodian Kids Foundation presents the families with the tools needed to start up their own business than fully supports them until they are able to sustain an income from the product they are making/offering. For example some families make toys or have set up electrical repair businesses etc.
Plant it Forward Program: This project aims to teach children and their parents how to farm their own vegetable gardens to both sell and supply their own family with food. It creates a sustainable income for families as well as teaching children the skills of farming. Currently our Saing Sy Centre provides breakfast for all of its students through a vegetable garden that is grown and contained by the students themselves, they plant, grow and pick the vegetables then take turns of being the ones who help cook and serve them to the other students each morning.
CKF's Medical Program: Under the medical program we provide two things, a mobile health clinic that travels to many rural villages in Cambodia as well as a Doctor and Nurse scholarship program that pays for the student's full medical school fees and helps them into the workforce as well as helping them gain experience through travelling with the mobile health clinic.
